Juliette's Chocolate and Lemon Cake

Here is my recipe for a delicious chocolate and lemon cake!

It serves 8 to 10 people.
Preparation: 10 minutes.

Material

Non-removable mold 20 cm (8 in) in diameter.

Ingredients

  •  3 eggs
  • 150 g (3/4 cup) sugar
  • 150g (5oz) Sao Tome dark chocolate (or commercial 70% dark chocolate, cut into pieces)
  • 120 g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • The zest of 1 lemon
  • The juice of 1 lemon (approximately 80 ml)
  • 40 g (1/3 cup) all-purpose flour

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the chocolate and butter and melt over low heat. Stir to combine.
  4. Stir in the lemon zest and juice, then the flour.
  5. Pour into the pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until the top of the cake begins to crack slightly.
  6. Let cool in the mold.

Store for 2 to 3 days at room temperature, under a cake cover.
