Juliette's Chocolate and Lemon Cake
Here is my recipe for a delicious chocolate and lemon cake!
It serves 8 to 10 people.
Preparation: 10 minutes.
Material
Non-removable mold 20 cm (8 in) in diameter.
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 150 g (3/4 cup) sugar
- 150g (5oz) Sao Tome dark chocolate (or commercial 70% dark chocolate, cut into pieces)
- 120 g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- The zest of 1 lemon
- The juice of 1 lemon (approximately 80 ml)
- 40 g (1/3 cup) all-purpose flour
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar and set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine the chocolate and butter and melt over low heat. Stir to combine.
- Stir in the lemon zest and juice, then the flour.
- Pour into the pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until the top of the cake begins to crack slightly.
- Let cool in the mold.
Store for 2 to 3 days at room temperature, under a cake cover.
